Abstract
The study conducted the bacteriological qualities and antibiotic sensitivity pattern of blended ogbona (Irvingia gabonensis) sold in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State using standard microbiology techniques. Bacterial isolates included; Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Seretia spp., Salmonella spp., Pseudomonas spp., Staphylococcus spp. Whereas Escherichia coli had the highest occurrence (31.1%), Salmonella spp. recorded the lowest occurrence (6.9%). Pseudomonas spp. was sensitive to all the test antibiotics except amoxicillin whereas Salmonella spp. was resistant to all the test antibiotics.
