Abstract
ABSTRACT
Productivity consciousness has acquired worldwide momentum. Higher productivity is necessary for the survival of any organisation. It stands for proper utilisation of available resources to achieve the best results at minimum cost. Therefore this study investigated the impact of motivation on employee’s productivity with focus on Nigeria Breweries Company. The study employed descriptive survey research design with a sample size of two hundred respondents. Questionnaire was designed for testing the three hypotheses derived. The hypotheses were tested using bivariate correlation and linear regression. The findings of the study revealed there is a significant impact of monetary motivation on employees’ productivity. It showed that there is significant impact of non-monetary motivation on employee’s productivity. Among other recommendations of the findings is that government should set up employment policy and condition of services for the private sector as obtainable in the public sector. These policies should gear towards curtailing the inhuman treatment that the private sector employees suffer.
