The study was designed to look at the impact of divorce on the academic performance of secondary school students in Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria. The study adopted descriptive survey method of research. Stratified and simple random sampling techniques were used for the study. Five secondary schools were randomly selected from the lists of senior secondary schools in Ijebu-North Local Government Area. Fifty (50) students were randomly chosen from each school, making total number of two hundred and fifty (250) students as a subject sample. Both primary and secondary data were employed for this study. The primary data was a questionnaire designed to verify the students demographic data and academic performance while the secondary data was the students result for second term of 2015/2016 session. The data generated was analysed using Regression Analysis. Findings from the research indicate that there was significant impact of divorce on students’ academic performance; there was significance difference in the academic performance of students who stay with divorced parent and students who stay with both parents; there was significant age difference among students of divorced parents based on academic performance; also there was significant difference in the academic performance of male and female students whose parent have divorced.
