Abstract
Diseases is one of the major causes of illness that weakens human and animal body. It can be caused by invasion of pathogenic organism on human body. Several outbreak of diseases have been experience in the world, most especially Africa, sometime, it is comes from sources within the community or brought from other countries. Some of the outbreak of diseases that have troubled the world are Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome, Ebola virus, Tuberculosis, Ulcer, and so on. In this context, this review focuses on Buruli Ulcer caused by Mycobacterium ulcerans.
Buruli ulcer is one of the neglected tropical diseases rapidly challenging health care delivery in rural area is Buruli ulcer. Buruli ulcer, a disease caused by Mycobacterium ulcerans and has been in existence since early 1980. It emerged as an important cause of human suffering (van der Werf et al., 1999). Buruli ulcer is known to destroy the skin’s underlying tissues and causes deformities.
