Abstract

This study examines the students and teachers attitude towards Basic Science and Technology. The study adopt descriptive survey research design. The sample size consists of two hundred students and forty teachers randomly selected from ten secondary school in Ijebu-north Local Government Area of Ogun State. The researcher used a well-constructed questionnaire which sought after the attitude of teachers’ and students’ towards Basic Science and Technology, and perceived driving forces behind attitude towards Basic Science and Technology. Three research questions were raised and analysed using mean score and standard deviation at .05 alpha level of significance. The results of the findings showed that the attitude of teachers’ towards Basic Science and Technology is positive; it also showed that attitude of students’ towards Basic Science and Technology is positive. The findings also revealed the driving forces behind teachers’ and students’ attitude towards Basic Science and Technology. Base on the results of the findings, some recommendations were made by the researcher.
