Abstract

This study found the short run and long run relationship between the economic growth, labour force participation and gross fixed capital formation. The regression data is used from the time period of 1985 to 2015 which is collected from National Bureau of Statistic, Central bank of Nigeria a and World Bank. Initially the analysis of variance used indicate that all the independent variables (exchange rate, labour force) used   are statistically significant. But while testing the individual variable with the gross domestic product it indicated that exchange rate has much effect on gross domestic product while labour force have no much effect on Nigeria economy. Also checking the result coefficient of determination which gives 0.976 which indicated that 97.6% of Nigeria economy is explained by the independent variables, which also indicated that the data used was appropriate.
