Abstract

This study assessed the housing situation and wellbeing of students in Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey research. The population of the study consisted on two hundred and fifty students drawn from five faculties in the school main campus using random sampling techniques. The data obtained were analysed using simple percentage for the demographic data and Independent t-test, One Way ANOVA and correlations analysis to test the hypotheses. The result of the analysis revealed that there is significant relationship between housing situation and wellbeing of students in Olabisi Onabanjo University. It also showed that there is significant difference in the perception of physical environment and infrastructural characteristics of students house across some demographic variables such as gender, age and level of academic study. It was recommended that students should be encouraged to seek accommodation from registered house-owners within the university environment.
